Welcome to the Office of Teacher Education and Certification web site. On this site you will find information about our NCATE accredited initial certification and advanced programs. If you are interested in pursuing certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary English, Secondary Mathematics, Secondary Social Studies, you are invited and encouraged to examine this web site. Advanced programs leading to a master's degree are Teaching and Curriculum and Literacy Education.In addition to these programs, you can choose from several programs that are supported by grants and other outreach initiatives. Teacher education faculty are directly engaged in these grant projects and outreach services designed to support teaching and learning in the pre-K through 12 environment.
